Very rarely do any of us meet someone so unforgettable: a huge heart, an acute mind, a generous soul, a helping hand, a cracking sense of humour and a whole range of other endearing qualities. For me, Michael became exactly that person after I moved to Leatherhead without any Surrey experience in 2007. Mick and Val took me under their wings and, very generously, they included my whole family into their orbit. Mick, I'm speaking for my family: we will never forget your kindness (nor your curry!) and we will cherish your memory forever. Rest in peace right next to Val!
